Moving Up The Google Rankings

by Michael Groves on 02/22/11

Well slowly but surely I am moving up the Google Rankings and already, I am now sitting just below one of Seabourn Cruise Lines little web-sites.

So what are my intentions, why am I so excited? Well folks my web site here is to EXPOSE Seabourn, Cunard and most certainly Carnival, or as I prefer to call them CARNIVORE Cruise Lines for what they really are - deceitful cowards!

So why do I say that, well keep your eyes posted so I can show you how their greed over fuel prices and then arrogance towards onboard and off shore expert security advice in 2005 made them cut the corner off the Somalian coast, and which then led to the Seabourn Spirit being attacked. How they stalled throughout the court case, how they tried to discredt me - the guy who saved their ship and tens of millions of dollars in recovery costs and class actions from guests and crew.

They even stopped my salary and my employment during my sick leave.......

Yes folks they did that during my period of sick leave recovering from the injuries we received defending and ultimately saving THEIR SHIP. Nice people arent they. But of course this was the begining of their smoke screen and mirrors, to distract the worlds media and other observors from the real story. Why do you think they kept the ship out at sea for the long sail to the Seychelles when India, Kenya and a French Frigate were just hours away? Makes you think doesnt it.

So this is the intention of the web site, to move up the google rankings until I am sitting just below Seabourns main web site, a constant thorn in their side, a constant reminder of their cowardice and how they played their own guests just days after the attack. Many of those rich and powerful guests will be, Im sure, very interested in what I have to say and while we are on that subject - all I am going to say or show are genuine legal papers and evidence........ENJOY!!

American Hostages Murdered By Somalian Pirates

by Michael Groves on 02/22/11

(CNN) -- Four American hostages on board a yacht hijacked by pirates last week were killed by their captors Tuesday, U.S. Central Command said in a statement. The vessel, named the Quest, was being shadowed by the military after being captured by pirates off the coast of Oman on Friday. Officials had said earlier Tuesday it was less than two days from the Somali coast.

Ship owners Jean and Scott Adam and Phyllis Macay and Bob Riggle were found shot by U.S. forces who boarded the vessel about 1 a.m. ET, officials said.

The forces responded after a rocket-propelled grenade was fired at a U.S. Navy ship about 600 yards away -- and missed -- and the sound of gunfire could be heard on board the Quest, U.S. Navy Adm. Mark Fox told reporters. Despite immediate steps to provide life saving care, all four hostages ultimately died of their wounds, U.S. Central Command said.

The incident took place as negotiations involving the FBI were underway for the hostages' release, Fox said. Two pirates had boarded a U.S. Navy ship on Monday for the negotiations, he said. He told reporters he had no information on details of the negotiations or whether a ransom had been offered.

Two pirates were found dead on board the Quest, he said. In the process of clearing the vessel, U.S. forces killed two others, one with a knife, Fox said. Thirteen others were captured and detained along with the other two already on board the U.S. Navy ship. A total of 19 pirates were involved, he said. The Adams were from Marina del Rey, California, Fox said, and Macay and Riggle were from Seattle.

The 15 detained pirates were being held together on a U.S. warship, he said, and we will go through the appropriate process to bring them to a judicial process and hold them accountable for their activities.

Fox said it was the deadliest pirate incident involving U.S. citizens that he could recall. There have been fewer than 10 fatalities associated with pirate activity in the region in the past few years, he said.

The Adams, Macay and Riggle had been traveling with yachts participating in the Blue Water Rally since their departure from Phuket, Thailand, rally organizers said Sunday in a statement on the event's website. The group, which organizes long distance group cruises, said the Quest broke off on February 15 after leaving Mumbai, India, to take a different route.

A statement from Blue Water Rallies on Tuesday called the four brave adventurers. We at Blue Water Rallies are stunned and devastated by the news of the loss of four friends who have had their innocent lives taken away from them by the pirate menace which is plaguing the Indian Ocean, it said.

The Somalis also issued condolences. I do express a deep condolence to the families, said Omar Jamal, first secretary of the Somali mission to the United Nations, in a statement.

Forces had been monitoring the Quest for three days, officials said. Four U.S. Navy warships were involved in the response force -- an aircraft carrier, a guided-missile cruiser and two guided-missile destroyers, according to the statement.Fox said Tuesday authorities believe the 19 pirates came aboard the Quest after traveling on a mother ship.

The mother ship trend -- pirates using another hijacked merchant vessel -- is a recent trend seen in the past few months among pirates, said Cyrus Mody, manager at the International Maritime Bureau in London. The mother ships provide pirates with a lot more reach, a lot more capability to move out further into the Indian Ocean, he said.

In addition, pirates can stay on board longer, have appropriate equipment and can demand the expertise of the ship's crew, he said. Previously, pirates typically just hijacked a vessel and held it until a ransom was paid, he said.

The Adams were a passionate couple who spent most of their time since 2004 boating around the world, said Scott Stolnitz, who knew Scott Adam, a retired film executive, for nearly 40 years. The couple had a small boat at the Del Rey Yacht Club, where they would occasionally return to visit friends, family and handle business, he said.

But traveling the world on their yacht was where they really wanted to be, he said.

They loved the experiences they were having with the people they were meeting and the places they were going, Stolnitz said. We asked them once if they ever looked forward to living on land again, and they both, believe it or not, said no.

He previously had said the Adams were very conscious of the threats posed by pirates and were concerned about boating in the area. One aspect of their travels, according to the site, was friendship evangelism -- that is, finding homes for thousands of Bibles, which have been donated through grants and gifts, as we travel from place to place. They also said their mission was to allow the power of the Word to transform lives.

But, Stolnitz said, vigorous evangelism wasn't a major emphasis for the couple. They use the Bible as an ice breaker, he said.

Piracy has flourished off the coast of Somalia, which has not had an effective government for two decades. While piracy in the Indian Ocean has taken place for a number of years close to the Somali coast, in 2008 we saw a very marked and rapid shift into the Gulf of Aden, where Somali pirates were attacking and hijacking vessels very, very regularly, Mody said.

International navies combating piracy have been fairly successful in setting up a patrolled transit corridor through the Gulf of Aden, Mody and Fox said. But the pirates' activities then shifted into the southern Red Sea, Indian Ocean and the Arabian Sea area, Mody said.

In addition, there was a very large increase in pirate attacks between 2008 and 2009, although the increase did not continue into 2010. Mody said. He noted that in the first few months of 2010, virtually no pirate hijackings were reported. So far in 2011, we have already seen more than 50 attacks carried out, he said. From 2008, what we've seen is they have evolved ... and increased their capabilities.

International counterpiracy teams do what they can to control pirate activities in the region, he said, but the area in which the Somali pirates are threatening is far too large for a concentrated naval effort like what is happening in the Gulf of Aden, so the navies are mostly relying on a lot of intelligence gathering and targeting vessels based on the intelligence, Mody said.

The entire portion of the United States east of the Mississippi River could fit into the Somali basin, Fox said. its a vast, vast area. Currently, 34 warships patrol the region under 15 different flags, and work well together, he said, but there's a lot of places where we are not.

In April 2009, pirates seized the U.S.-flagged Maersk Alabama, leading to a standoff in the Indian Ocean. U.S. forces moved to rescue American Capt. Richard Phillips after seeing a pirate aiming a weapon at his back, officials said at the time. Three pirates were killed and one was arrested. The Somali man arrested was convicted of acts related to high-seas piracy and was sentenced last week in New York to more than 30 years in prison by a federal court.

Note. Sorry for the delay in postings of late but we suffered a sad loss in our home lives and naturally my time has been focused on my beautiful wife. One reason why I have copied CNN report rathter than putting my own together but this is an important development concerning pirates and needs to be posted immediately. As feared they are upping their game and this will no doubt be the first of other murders.

One is moving up the Google rankings!

by Michael Groves on 01/25/11

Delighted this evening to discover that I have now moved to the top of the Google listing on page 3 - whenever you type in SEABOURN.

Some of you will know my intention / my dream is to sit right under the main Seabourn web-ste on page one! That will really cause some annoyance and something I believe needs to be done. WHY? Because the truth behind the piracy attack in 2005 has been covered up, and the story needs to be told!

Once I am over this four week, on-off bout of flu, I will add more postings and evidence concerning the aforementioned attack.

Thanks for checking out my little ole site!

Pirate Attacks Increase

by Michael Groves on 01/19/11

It would appear that pirate activity is on the increase again! I am now aware that on the 4th January two attacks took place south east of Muscat, this particular band of scurvy low life firing rocket propelled grenades at their intended victims in order to force the vessel to stop. However the Bahamian flagged oil tanker MV Front Warrior was well equipped for the fight, being well protected with razor wire to her sides and high pressure fire hoses, which the crew utilised to defeat the scurvy pirates.

In another incident razor wire featured again, together with a little full speed to thwart the attack. The Norwegian flagged LPG carrier MV BW Austria managed to defeat the pirates best intentions in the two skiffs attacking her.

You may recall [see below] the more recent incident involving a cruise liner, the Spirit of Adventure on the 12th January. The cruise ship detected a small skiff approaching her at speed about 100 nautical miles off the coast of Tanzania. It now appears that even this ship was fitted with razor wire but also managed to escape her scurvy pursuers without a shot being fired. However why on earth are cruise ships now utilising razor wire - they should not be sailing such dangerous waters in the first place so it is a little concerning to now hear of such tactics, to  say the least being fired upon.

Obviously not to disheartened by three failed attempts in recent days, more scurvy low-life pirates opted to have a go at yet another vessel on the 12th, this time the Danish vessel MV Leopard. The MV Leopard was attacked by two skiffs 500 miles off the Omani coast and where they finally achieve success. The vessel was taken after the crew took shelter inside a secure safe room but this particular could have resulted in making the battle against these murdering pirates even more difficult and protracted - the ship was reportedly carrying a large cargo of arms and ammunition!! Thankfully the TCG Gaziantep, was able to respond respond and eventually located the now deserted ship, cargo intact but her crew gone.

Recent intelligence suggest that the Taiwanese fishing boat Shiuh Fu No 1 which was lost to pirates off Madagascar on Christmas Day is now  acting as a ‘Mother Ship’ for this particular band of pirates.

No attempts have been made to rescue the crew of the Leopard after threats were received by their captors that this would lead to direct harm. Pirates are upping the anti and which I have expressed concern about for some years. The Leopard was later boarded by NATO personnel and sailed into port.

It does not stop there!! On 16th January a South Korean freighter, the MV Samho Jewellry  was also captured in the same waters, some 350 miles south east of Muscat.

To help combat the growing threat BAE Systems have developed a non-lethal laser - pity - and which is capable of providing a visual warning to pirates at distances greater than 2NM. My opining is we need to adopt a more permanent solution - kill the killers and just keep sailing on. Sorry but I make no apologies for this statement.

Notwithstanding the social and economic failures, and hardships within Somalia, this still no one an excuse to go out and murder innocent mariners. Hundreds are murdered every year and yet all we hear is that this is not the pirates fault - the Somalian situation is forcing them to make these attacks? Utter rubbish!! They are just a bunch of mindless thugs who have no concept of decency or compassion to their victims and we should return that whenever they attack any shipping.

SAGA's Spirit of Adventure shadowed by pirates

by Michael Groves on 01/16/11

SAGA's The Spirit of Adventure may have been a little too adventurous this past when when she was stalked by pirates as she cruised the Indian Ocean. Many of the passengers were dressed for their weekly formal dinner, black being the attire of the evening when rather than tucking into the appetisers, they rather found themselves being ordered by the Captain to to hide below decks after a speed boat brimming with Somali pirates was seen to came alongside the ship.

To be fair if they had come that close then in all probability the ship would have been taken unless crew fought them off, something that has not been reported at this point in time?

Once passenger, Susie Brown said, It was a really terrifying ordeal. She also stated the passengers were told to sit on the floor while doors were barricaded. We were told to keep our heads down in case they shot us through the windows she added.

The 348-passenger Spirit of Adventure eventually lost the pirates and dinner was later resumed. Other report place the pirates at approximately two NM behind the vessel, more likely correct than alongside.

A spokesperson for SAGA informed news outlets, After guests were moved down to the middle of the ship the captain sped up to full speed and the vessel went away. We think it was scouting out the ship.

Most of the passengers were said to have remained calm throughout the incident, reports the guardian however nevertheless - I'm sure it spoilt many a passengers appetite
